DIY Speedlight Grid Modifier

Ok so I'll start off by pointing out that this was an experiment to see what effect a grid would have on my speedlight as I had never used one before and wanted to give it a go.

Ok so my first model shoot of 2011 was with the lovely Emma!
Nearly all shots were done using flash and brolleys. Even a touch or gels in places for effect.

Quick Strobist Home Shoot

Ok so progress has been slow here but hopefully I'll get into the swing of this blogging lark!
For now here's a quick slot on a simple strobist style shoot done in my attic with the help of a wonderful assistant, my daughter, who as you'll see is really getting into this herself!

My First Images Of 2011

Ok so after a grey morning on 1st Jan this year I decided not to head out for a sunrise as I thought it was just too grey and boring. However the next day on the 2nd of Jan I decided along

with some camera club friends to head out into the grey morning and see if we could make something of the sunrise.

New Year, A new Blog!

Ok so after setting up this blog a long time a go, I have finally decided to use it!
Over the next while, I hope to use this blog to post images of what I have been up to photography wise and maybe stick up a few tried and tested techniques for both my landscape and portrait photography.

We shall see how this goes and hopefully I will have images from my collection to post here as soon as I can decide where to start!
